About Us

Membership

When you’re a member of Atchison Village Credit Union, you’re not just a customer but a part-owner of your credit union. Member assets are pooled to provide loans and other financial services to fellow members.

Credit unions are not-for-profit, which means that instead of dividends going to shareholders, the profits are put back into the credit union to bring members lower fees and better rates.

Membership has its benefits!

Atchison Village Credit Union members have access to all the financial products, services, and conveniences our credit union has to offer.

All credit unions have limited membership based on a “common bond of association.” This is part of the definition of a credit union.

To be a member of Atchison Village Credit Union, you must meet one of the following requirements:

  1. Be a resident of Atchison Village or a resident’s relative.

  3. Be an employee of Atchison Village Credit Union or an employee’s relative.
